About Our Pre-Primary School
Acts House of Education prides itself in their Pre-primary department which comprises Grade RR and Grade R. We enrol learners from the age of 4 years old.
Our teachers value the unique richness of each child and strive to ensure the safety, happiness, and security of each individual child. The daily programme is aimed at learning though exploration and play, encouraging holistic development, while leading the child towards the maturity necessary for formal school. Within the stimulating, child-orientated environment we provide, each child is given the opportunity and freedom to grow and explore their potential. They are taught to love each other and to respect each other’s differences.
As part of the termly programme, we incorporate informative visits from outside guests to present relevant shows which are also theme related, such as mobile zoo, puppet shows and educational theatre shows
Our onsite educational psychologist provides a school readiness assessment to all grade R learners to ensure the learner is ready for grade 1.

Conversational isiZulu and Afrikaans are taught as additional languages while formal Physical Education lessons are taught weekly by a qualified coach.
Life Skills lessons are extended with shows, nature walks and tangible learning experiences.
Mathematics lessons incorporate activities provided to stimulate problem solving and critical thinking using concrete materials.
Our English lessons are rich in storytelling, drama and aim to inspire our children to use their imaginations.
Special music and movement lessons are held weekly by NexGen, an external music company.
