About Our High School
The High School at Acts House of Education comprises the Senior Phase (Grades 7–9) and the FET Phase (Grades 10–12), supporting learners through a critical period of academic, personal and vocational development.
Academic learning is strengthened by a fully equipped Science and Technology Laboratory, strong Commerce subjects and an experienced teaching team. Beyond academics, learners participate in camps, STEM Expos, leadership programmes and the Grade 12 Student Council. Pastoral care, mentoring and structured subject guidance with aptitude assessments help learners make informed career choices.
Senior Phase
The Senior Phase builds strong academic foundations while supporting students through the critical early teenage years, bridging primary and senior high school.
FET Phase
The Further Education and Training Phase prepares students for university and career success through rigorous CAPS-aligned academic programmes.

IT, CAT and compulsory Robotics programme teaching C++, Python, HTML, CSS, Arduino, plus game and app development. Students graduate with marketable digital skills for the 4IR economy.
Humanities

Grade 9 learners attend a dedicated Careers Day designed to guide subject choices and expose them to future study paths and career opportunities.
Robotics & IT Programme
Technology is embedded into the curriculum through a compulsory, non-exam Robotics and IT Programme. This EdTech initiative develops logical thinking, creativity and practical tech skills.
Programming & Coding Skills
Learners in Grades 8–11 are introduced to C++, Python, HTML and CSS, alongside practical coding using the Arduino IDE to control hardware. Additional online courses include Microsoft Word & Excel, Game Development and Mobile App Development.
Digital Learning & Support
All academic content is supported through Google Classroom, giving learners access to PowerPoint lessons for revision or missed classes. Lessons are designed using learning maps, differentiated strategies and an awareness of individual learning styles to maximise understanding and retention.
