Independent & Creative Learning

Fostering self-directed learners who think creatively, take initiative and develop the skills needed for future academic and personal success.

Foundation Phase students engaged in hands-on learning activities

Foundation Phase (Grades 1-3)

In the Foundation Phase, learning is intentionally designed to develop critical thinking, problem-solving and early information analysis skills.

  • Structured teaching with hands-on investigations and guided support
  • Active exploration of concepts through inquiry-based learning
  • Building confidence in engaging with learning in meaningful ways
  • Strong literacy and numeracy foundations across the curriculum

Intermediate & Senior Phase (Intersen Phase)

During the Intersen Phase, students experience significant academic, emotional and social growth as we support each child as a distinct individual.

  • Development of independent, critical and creative thinking skills
  • Progressive teaching strategies that challenge learners appropriately
  • Opportunities for creative expression and analytical problem-solving
  • Preparing students for an increasingly competitive educational landscape

ICT Curriculum

Primary learners begin their formal ICT journey in Grade 4 through block-based coding using the internationally recognised Code.org platform, developing essential skills for a Fourth Industrial Revolution world.

Grade 4

Model Aeroplane

Exploring magnetism, electrical conductors and direct current (DC) power

Grade 5

Solar-Powered Car

Introducing concepts of semiconductors and renewable energy

Grade 6

Line-Following Car

Focusing on sensors and how information controls electrical flow

Grade 7

Hydraulic Forklift

Understanding DC motor control using an H-bridge circuit

Through this structured ICT programme, students are equipped with practical skills, technological understanding and problem-solving capabilities that prepare them for future learning and innovation.

STEM Excellence & Innovation

Harvard-recognized programmes and progressive projects preparing students for a technology-driven future

Young Engineers Programme

Recognized by the Harvard Graduate School of Education, our Young Engineers Programme develops 21st-century skills using Lego kits for science, engineering and model-building. Students engage in hands-on engineering challenges that foster creativity, problem-solving and teamwork.

ICT & Coding with Code.org

Starting in Grade 4, students learn block coding through Code.org, teaching fundamentals of critical thinking, problem-solving and sequencing essential for the 4IR world. This progressive curriculum builds computational thinking skills year by year.

Grade 4: Model Airplane

Students explore magnetism, conductors and DC power while building their first engineering project. This hands-on experience introduces fundamental engineering concepts through an exciting, tangible project.

Grade 5: Solar-Powered Car

Building on prior knowledge, students create a remote-controlled solar-powered car, learning about renewable energy, circuits and sustainable technology while developing advanced construction skills.

Grade 6: Line-Following Car

Students integrate sensors and programming as they build a line-following car, combining mechanical engineering with basic coding concepts to create an autonomous vehicle.

Grade 7: Hydraulic Forklift

The culminating project involves building a hydraulic forklift with electric motor control, bringing together years of STEM learning in mechanical systems, hydraulics and electrical engineering.
